All’anagrafe Rosetta Lavatura vive e lavora a Ravenna.
Nel 1962, assieme alla famiglia, si trasferisce dalla Sicilia a Ravenna ed è qui che si attua la sua formazione artistica diplomandosi in pittura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna e laureandosi a Bologna in Storia dell’Arte Contemporanea (DAMS).
